Botswana, Kasane, Senyati 12/5/13

In case I forget to edit yesterday's blog, Johan did catch a tiger last night!
Just before the men came to bed, an African Wood Owl posed beautifully in good light. Scrambled out of bed, grabbed the camera from Luis and proceeded to take pictures which were just black. After 5 minutes, realised the lens cap hadn't been taken off!! Too late, as we lined up for the shot, Woody decided to flee the scene! Missed opportunity.
Short trip from Katima Mulilo to Kasane today (138kms) - through the Chobe reserve. Saw two beautifully posed and well lit Martials but they didn't wait for the camera. The Tawny did:

View from the Ngoma border crossing, Botswana side

Set up camp at Senyati and down to waterhole. Plenty of different small herds coming to drink with all the wonderful interplay that that entails.

Stretch little guy, stretch.

Louw very kindly allowed us to enter the Pangolin hide.

Where's that bloody titty got to now?

Up close and personal with an elephant's mouth.

Have been leopard sighting lately so here's hoping.
Hyena whooped during the night, quite frequently. Was right next to our vehicle at one stage, as the spoor testified.
