Day 4 (31/8)

Went to sleep last night to the sound of Barking Geckos and woke up to the hooting of owls.  Ah, the promise of a fresh new day.  Mornings here are lovely.Wind finally seems to have blown itself out.  Headed north to Polentswa (Botswana side) - road is like a highway after what we've been through. Just after the first waterhole we came spotted a Verreaux Owl (Gian Eagle Owl).  Really close.  He would not open his eyes but what a lovely sighting.
Got some nice Goshawk shots and some lively Jackal. As soon as it get to around 10, it gets really hot and all the critturs go to shade.
Brutus' air conditioning packed up - convinced it was all the rattling around.  Back to camp fairly early.  I tweaked a muscle in my back 2 days ago (at Molopo) doing something stupid and it chose today to seize up! Pain and Agony and Luis having to do more than he normally does (he does most things already!!).  Feeling really helpless and don't like it one bit!
