Namwi Island 19/9/11 (Day 15).

Tried an experimental shot of just the reflections on the Zambesi River very late yesterday:

That calm time of the early evening when there's not a breath of wind:

The boat in the foreground is what Luis uses as a jetty to fish from.

Had a most enjoyable campfire session last night. This is such a lovely place and we are the only souls here.
Below is a shot of Luis trying to capture a nighttime fairy scene:

This is a general idea of what he was trying to capture:

Heard (and had a brief sighting of) a spotted eagle owl last night. Also thought we heard the pel's but listening to the call on Sasol birds, not so sure.
Managed to get a reasonable shot of the SchallowsTuraco.

Plenty of starlings occupy "our shade tree", chuntering away ninety to the dozen.

A white browed robin-chat.

There were 2 trumpeter hornbills in the park this morning but they did not wait for me to get my camera!
We had to confront the wicked "city" of Katima Mulilo this am. Booze, MTC sim card and fishing lures were required. It's a tiny place but we hated every minute of it. Couldn't wait to get back to sanity and sanctuary at Namwi!
Fish Eagle posed in flight for us:

Uneventful evening (early one, too, after the night before!!!)
